Active Natural Service Herd Sires . . .
The following herd sires are currently in active use at Gibbs Farms as natural service herd sires. They may be found in a partners herd breeding cows in the spring or in collection at a bull stud during the off-season, but each can be found working in the pastures at Gibbs Farms in December and January. A Gibbs Farms herd sire is expected to work for a living, many of them traveling half way across the country twice a year, naturally servicing cows in fall and spring breeding programs as well as spending time in a bull stud building a bank of frozen semen in between their active pasture breeding jobs. Semen is available on most of these sires, either directly from Gibbs Farms or through one of the major bull studs.

Active Partnership Herd Sires . . .
Gibbs Farms is an active partner in the following herd sires. These sires are either currently working natural service in a partners herd, retired to only bull stud collection, or may actually be deceased, but Gibbs Farms is still an active owner in each. The influence of these sires will be found in the Gibbs Farms herd, either in the current year’s calf crop, a future calf crop, or as the sire of producing cows in our herd. Semen is available on most of these sires, either directly from Gibbs Farms or through one of the major bull studs.

Archived Herd Sires . . .
The following herd sires may no longer be active at Gibbs Farms, but have played a significant role in building the genetic base of our cow herd. Several of these former Gibbs Farms herd sires have large numbers of daughters currently working in our herd, continuing to greatly influence the genetic future of our program. Some worked until a very old age and some were lost prematurely, but all deserve continued recognition as former Gibbs Farms herd sires.
