Our Genetic & Marketing Manager, Gordon Hodges, was on the water with his son just before Christmas, proving that great things happen when you are wearing the right hat.

It’s no secret that Spencer Hodges has a history of putting his guest on big fish and plenty of them, but wearing the right hat sure does not hurt. The 4-day trip to Smith Mountain Lake near Moneta, Virginia just before Christmas on Spencer’s center console Sea Fox proved to be fun and productive. We were blessed to have our very special friend Jeff Powers onboard for our best day, bringing 27 stripers to the boat by noon time. Jeff only lives about 30 minutes from the lake and it was a special treat to have him join us for one day. Jeff is an Angus and SimAngus breeder, so the day was spent enjoying fishing and talking cattle.
